John W. Rauchut of Horsham passed away on Christmas Day, 12-25-2019. He was 96. Born October 2nd 1923. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Felix and Pearl (nee Mayfield) Rauchut. John was an Upper Moreland High School graduate and then joined the United States Coast Guard during World War II. After residing in Willow Grove, he relocated to Horsham Pa. He retired from Standard Press Steel after many years working as a machinist, metallurgist then superintendent. He had a love for fishing and playing the drums in a band and was a mall walker at the Willow Grove Mall. John also sang in the choir at Grace Presbyterian Church in Horsham and the choir at Warminster Presbyterian Church and a member of the W.K. Bray Lodge #410 in Hatboro. He loved spending time with his family, especially down the shore or up the mountains. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris (nee Lintner). Father of John (Peggy) Rauchut of Horsham and Michael (Joann) Rauchut of North Wales. Grandfather of Jeffrey, Julie, Katie, Kelsey, Sean and Nicole. Great Grandfather of Hailey, Daphne, Shane, Benny, Scarlet and the late Jack. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Howell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service, Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Decker Funeral Home, 216 York Rd., Warminster Pa. 18974. Friends will be received from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Interment Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
