On Sunday, November 17, 2019, Joe Nocero, loving husband and father, loyal son and dedicated brother to all, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 41.
Joe will forever be loved by those of us that he left behind. He is survived by his wife Melissa (Ciglar) and son Dominic “Nico”. His father Michael and mother Mary. His siblings Michael (Gina), Angela (John) and Michael (Bronwyn) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe lived life to the fullest and was the life of the party who found joy in making others smile. Joe’s passion to help others was shown by his generous philanthropy. Near and dear to his heart was championing the SuperHero Project, a foundation that supports families that have children in the neonatal intensive care unit.

Joe recently worked for Movement Mortgage, his successful career has been featured in Forbes and Philadelphia Magazine. Joe was an avid Philadelphia sports fan who especially enjoyed attending Philadelphia Eagles games with his friends.

Family and friends are invited to Joe’s Life Celebration, from 9-11am, Friday, Nov. 22nd, at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Catholic Church, 1410 Almshouse Road, Jamison, and to participate in his Funeral Service at 12pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SuperHero project in Joe’s memory:

I just found out about this story that made my heart drop to the floor.
I only met Joe twice. His smile lite up the room.
I knew Melissa for 10+ years during my time at Penn Mutual Life. It breaks my heart to hear the news about Joe's passing. I am at a loss for words. All I can say is Joe is going to a better place and he will live in Nico forever.
Melissa I am so sorry.
To Joe's Family I would like to say may his memory be eternal.
I will say a prayer.
With deepest condolences.

Dear Melissa, Nico, and all of the Nocero Family:

I am so very sorry for your loss. Joe was such a presence! I was very lucky to have known him through his brother, Mike while at Bloomsburg University. In the handful of times that I was around him, I felt as though I had known him for my whole life. He was, truly, the very best that God and life had to offer!

You are all in my constant thoughts and prayers. May I please offer you my most sincere condolences, and may God bless all of you in this most difficult time.

My husband and I were clients of Joe's . When I first met him I noticed immediately how friendly and warm he was. He had that personality that made you feel like you were his friend for life. When we sat at his desk the first picture that I saw was his little boy Nico who was absolutely precious. The kind of adorableness that made you want to give him a big giant squeeze. The next photo I saw was a beautiful family shot of his wife Melissa. That was the thing, you couldnt hep but see what a wonderfu family man he was and I was honored to find out about him and his wife's involvement of the Superhero Project. I decided because he was such a nice guy and one who took the time to get to know his clients, Id make a beautiful gift basket with Italian specialties. He emailed us a few weeks later saying "Lauren and Joe you got one of my favorites Pannetone! You are not only clients but friends for life."
! Its funny how one person who you may not have known for a long time leaves such an impact. I only wish his wife and son to be embodied in love and surrounded by a golden light. I pray daily. I have my children pray. I am not one who has known Joe for a long timenbut can say he will be sincerely missed. His love and special presence is so palpable as I read the stories and look over pictures. May God bless his family!

Joe Nocero exuded humor and genuine care for those he interacted with at our Keller Williams Doylestown market center. It was a pleasure to get to know him, if even for the short period of time. This picture, taken recently at our community trunk or treat, was when I had the opportunity to get to know he, and his family, more. He will be missed, and my heart goes out to his loved ones. He impacted many. A true "Superhero" looking out for the welfare of others. His presence will be missed.

Joe, I remember watching you and my son playing football together. May you have scored the ultimate touchdown.
