Francis J. Smolcynski Sr., of Warminster, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 27, 2019 at the age of 87. Francis is predeceased by his beloved wife Philomena (nee Marturano), his son Francis Jr., his daughter Victoria Ferrara., his parents Andrew, Sr. and Victoria (Kotarski) Smolcynski, his brother Andrew Smolcynski, Jr, and a sister Bernadine Nebrotskie. Francis is survived by his daughters Christine Smolcynski and Laurie Duca (John); and grandchildren Andrea Duca, Nicole Duca, Joseph Ferrara Jr., Francis Ferrara, and Vincent Ferrara.

Frank was the second of three children, he was born on November 10, 1931. Frank grew up in Port Richmond, (Polish section of Philadelphia), where he attended St. Joseph’s Preparatory School. Frank served during the Korean War as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. While Frank was still serving in the Marines, he married his wonderful wife Philomena Marturano, on June 2, 1951. By the 70’s Frank started his own flooring business with his son Frank Jr. Frank’s faith and family were the center of his life.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Francis’ funeral mass on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 611 Knowles Ave, Southampton, PA 18966. Interment to immediately follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Francis’ memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
