Donald Richard Reese, of Warminster, PA, born on November 11, 1944 in Easton, PA, to the late Florence Reese and the Donald Reese, passed away at age 74 on June 2, 2019 in Chapel Hill, NC.

Donald was the beloved husband of Mary. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dane and Jack; and sister, Joanne. Donald is survived by his sons, Mike and Donny; daughter, Cindy; sister, Linda; and grandchildren, Cameron, Keith, Tyler, Jordyn, and Lindsey; great grandchildren, Travis and Harper; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a Letter Carrier at Warminster Post Office for over 40 years until retiring in 2010 and also a custodian with the Centennial School District for many years. He will be remembered for his tremendous work ethic and ability to fix anything, always working on cars, doing home improvement projects and offering to help those who needed it.

Don touched many with his kindness and warmth and will be missed immensely.

I love you, Dad, and I'm happy you can be whole again. I know your granddogs are over-the-moon excited to see you and are covering you in fur and slobber right now.

Donations in Don's name to Dementia Alliance of North Carolina are welcome and appreciated. Friends and family are welcome to attend the viewing on Thursday, June 6 from 11:30 to 1:00 at Decker Funeral Home, 216 York Road, Warminster, 215-675-2070. The funeral service will also be held at Decker following the viewing.

I have fond memories of Don spending time at our house in Warminster as a young man. He was quick to tell a joke & make us all laugh. Thank God his pain has passed & he is himself again. He will be missed.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to family and friends. May all of your good memories be greater than your sadness during this difficult time. (Isaiah 25:8)

Hi Uncle Donald Duck! I am so sad that you are no longer with us in your Earth suit, but I'm also overjoyed that you can finally be at peace and float through the heavens with your new angel wings. Your incredible work ethic was demonstrated until your very last moment with us, you fought hard and hung on with all your might. Now is time for you to rest, Uncle. I cannot express enough how happy I am you are no longer suffering, it means more to me that you are through fighting the war with Alzheimers than having you here with us. But that said, I am still sad you have passed. I want thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such a crucial part of the village that helped raise me. I have years of memories to share but my favorite are the simple moments~ I loved watching you fix the StingRay and letting me climb all over that fabulous vehicle, when no one else in their right mind would let a grubby kid near that car! You always jumped in the pool with the kiddos, tossing us through the air and creating a carefree space for us to simply enjoy life. I love that you could snap us out of a cranky kid slump with that most epic Donald Duck impersonation. And you never got in the way of Saturday morning cartoons. You never complained of my presence when I'd stay with you and Mimi, driving me from Warminster to Roslyn for school in the morning, treating me as you would your own children. You went out of your way to make me feel welcome and secure in the moments when I was feeling lost. I cannot express how much this helped me become a confident and grounded woman. I appreciate witnessing your love and dedication to your amazing family, the lessons I learned are too much to mention. Lastly, the scent of your pipe... so comforting. I honestly think I caught a faint scent of that aroma the day you passed. Thanks for going out of your way to visit me :) Love you Uncle Don
