William Parker Jefferis, 87, of Hatboro PA went home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2017.
Born in Dover Ohio, he was the only son of the late Pennock and Elsie Jefferis. Bill went to Abington High School where he was a member of the cross country team and graduated from Temple University. Bill proudly served his country as a staff sergeant in the Air Force. Afterwards he joined the Penn Mutal Insurance Company where he worked for 35 years.
Bill loved to tinker with things. He loved to figure how things worked or how he could fix things in an unconventional way. He lived by the motto that duct tape can fix anything. He had a passion for spreadsheets; nothing was safe from being put on one. He loved to surf fish and entered many competitions. He enjoyed taking his family camping and spending time in the garden. He enjoyed volunteering at Abington Hospital.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife Carol Pabst Jefferis.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife Carol Townsend, son Steven (Adrienne) Jefferis, daughter Jennifer Lefferts, stepson John (Kim) Townsend, stepdaughter Debbie Townsend, grandchildren Matthew (Christy) Jefferis, Alexa Jefferis, step grandchildren Courtney and Melissa Townsend and great granddaughter Madelynn Jefferis.
